I just sent a voice clip on my BB messenger to a friend, for him to hear what I sound like today as I have lost my voice. He said I sounded like a ghost.
The funny thing is that everyone at work thinks I've been out partying too much? But I haven't.. I mean what did I do this weekend? I stayed home on Friday as my throat started to hurt.. Was in bed and out shopping Saturday then went out for drinks and cinema in the evening. And yesterday I was in the park all day? I did not party like a rockstar this weekend, now did I?!
I lose my voice a few times a year actually. a few months ago I had a really bad case of tonsillitis! Look below.. this is GROOOOOOSE!!!!
Anyway.. I don't know why I keep getting this infection. Since this happens (quite) often, at least a few times a year I decided to Google it a bit too see if I could find some kind of name for this. This is what I found:
Laryngitis occurs when the part of the throat called the larynx becomes inflamed. When this happens, it causes a severe hoarseness that can make your voice "croak" or have to whisper when you talk. It can even lead to temporary loss of your voice.
Symptoms and Complications of Laryngitis
Many people with laryngitis get very hoarse or even lose their voice for a short time. You may feel a tickling or rawness in your throat and experience a constant need to clear it. Symptoms vary with how badly the throat is inflamed.
When other symptoms accompany the laryngitis, such as fever, general aches and pains, and throat pain, a viral infection is usually responsible.
I think this might be what I've got..... crap.
Medication is so cheap in London! I just got these little bastards at Boots for £1.
